I do the kind of software work where the playbook hasn't been written — mostly for community banks and credit unions. Mostly on time.

My career started behind the counter at a community bank in Elberton, Georgia, one month before I graduated high school. Twenty years later, I'm still in financial services — eventually crossing from the bank side to the vendor side, where I've spent the last decade-plus running digital banking implementations for community banks and credit unions. Most of those years have been on the same platform lineage as it passed through three companies you've heard of. I stayed because the work is genuinely complicated, and because every implementation is ultimately a people problem dressed up as a software problem. I'm pretty good at both.

I live in Atlanta and I'm quite single — though I do live with a cat named Kevin, who would prefer I mention him first. I read mostly autobiographies, taking notes on lives that don't look like mine, and I travel when I can, though not yet as often as I'd like. Lately: [now playing]
